About Karen
Demi Equine Bodywork is the professional practice of Karen Katzmark, offering mobile bodywork for horses and equestrians throughout Sacramento County and surrounding areas.
Karen has been working in therapeutic massage and bodywork since 2001, with experience across clinical, spa, and private practice settings. Her work with horses began in 2014 and continues to develop through ongoing study, hands-on experience, and a deep respect for how horses communicate through movement, tension, and behavior. This includes time working within barn and program environments, including Otra Mas, an equine therapy and rescue setting.
Her training includes The Masterson Method and continued study in equine bodywork, along with equine-assisted learning through the OK Corral Series.
This perspective supports a quiet, respectful, horse-centered approach to bodywork. Each session is guided by the horse's responses, with time allowed for pauses, adjustment, and integration. the work is never rushed or forceful.
The name Demi reflects the heart behind this work and the lessons horses can offer through trust, presence, and relationship.
