Horses / In Practice

The horses I have worked with have been my greatest teachers.

This page offers a quiet glimpse into hands-on practice across a range of environments, including therapeutic settings, lesson programs, rescue and transitional care, and private horse care. Each horse brought individual needs, histories, and ways of communicating, shaping how I listen, respond, and work.

Rather than documenting outcomes, this page honors presence, partnership, and learning.

The horses I have worked with have been my greatest teachers.

In Practice

My work with horses has taken place in varied settings, including:

  • Therapeutic and adaptive riding programs
  • Lesson and school-horse environments
  • Rescue, rehabilitation, and transitional care settings
  • Private barns and individual horse care

Sessions are guided by the horse’s comfort, responses, and pacing. Touch is adapted moment by moment, with attention to physical tension, emotional state, and environmental context.

The Horses as Teachers

Some horses taught me about softening. Others taught me about boundaries. Many taught me patience, timing, and restraint.

Each interaction—whether brief or ongoing—has informed how I approach bodywork: not as something done to a horse, but something done with them.

About the Images

The photographs shared here reflect moments of connection, rest, and quiet work. They are not before-and-after comparisons, nor representations of treatment outcomes.

Horse names may be shared selectively or withheld to respect privacy and setting.

A Note on Practice

Every horse is an individual. Every session is different.

My role is to listen with my hands, observe without assumption, and support the horse in ways that feel safe and appropriate in that moment.

Images and descriptions reflect professional experience and practice and are not intended as veterinary diagnosis or treatment.
